Ingredients
For the Ragda:
Yellow dried Peas – 1 cup
water - 2cups
Red Chili powder – 1 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Roasted Cumin powder- ½ tsp
Turmeric a pinch
Salt to taste
For the Patties:
Potatoes – 4 big
Red chili powder – ½ tsp
Roasted Cumin powder – ½ tsp
Bread crumbs-1/2 cup
turmeric powder a pinch
chat masala-1/3 tsp
salt
For Assembling the Ragda Patties

Green Chutney (Coriander- Mint- Green Chilies)
Chopped Onions
Chopped coriander leaves

Instructions
Ragda Making Procedure:
Wash and soak the white peas overnight or at least for 8 hrs.add water till the peas are covered.
Then add Chili powder, Coriander powder, Cumin powder, salt, and Turmeric powder.Pressure cook it for about 4 -5 times or till it is tender.
Once the peas cooked well, mash it and keep aside.
Ragada Patties Procedure:
In a bowl, take the peeled and boiled potatoes and mash it.
add the red chili powder, turmeric powder, roasted Cumin powder, chat masala, bread crumbs, salt to taste.
Mix well to get a tight dough.Then divide into small balls and flatten them into discs.
Shallow fry these patties on both sides by sprinkling oil over them.
Once they turn golden in color, you can remove.
To assemble the Ragda Patties 2 ways:
Street style:
In a tawa, add butter and pour the ragda, break patties and mix well.
Once the ragda become dry add the chopped onions, tomatoes, chutneys, lime juice, coriander, and sev.Serve immediately.
Fast Food Style:
pour ragda in a plate and place the patties.
Add the tamarind and Green chutney as required. Sprinkle chat masala over this.
Then goes the onions, tomatoes and coriander leaves.
Finally, the sev, add lots of love.
Notes
serving suggestion is upto you where style you like you do. Garnishing with onion, tomatoes and can add pomagranate if you like. If you fee spicy add dahi over the chat.
