Karak tea recipe, made of thick milk, spices and herbs.

  • ½ cup water(Paani)
  • 1 cup milk(Thoth)(fresh milk)
  • 1 tbsp tea leaves(i used black tea powder)
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder or 2-3 crushed cardamom(ilaayachee)
  • 1 clove(laung)
  • 1 small piece cinnamon(daalacheenee)
  • 1 small piece ginger(adarak)
  • 2 pepper corns(kali mirchi)
  • 1 tbsp sugar or as per taste
  1. Add water to a saucepan and let it boil.
  2. Add grated ginger, cinnamon, peppercorns, cloves and cardamom, let it boil.
  3. simmer the stove and boil for a minute.
  4. Add tea leaves or Tea powder,boil it.
  5. Turn off the heat and cover the tea and rest it for 2 mins.
  6. Now again turn on the stove, add the milk and sugar mix well.
  7. Strain the tea into a glass or cup
  8. Refreshing Karak chai is ready to serve.
i used evoparated milk, you can use fresh milk also.
try to add nutmeg in tea, i didn't add it.
