Rainbow Cake In a Jar interesting is it??? Hope you all heard Rainbow cupcake, rainbow layer cakes but this is something unique and that too you no need an oven to bake this colorful cake. This no bake Jar cake is very good for kids party because they love to have the colourful cake and, of course, it’s a fun while making the cake. Actually we planned the rainbow theme for Akshara’s first bday party but aishu changed the theme at the last moment as she couldn’t get the rainbow dress. It’s very good idea for the return gift too and now bakeries are selling the jar cake in gift packs. Why don’t we try  it for our party??? As Father’s day is around the corner hope you guys try this easy rainbow cake recipe or simple vanilla cake recipe.This recipe you can bake as well as steam. Here i have shared   both the methods do check the rainbow cake recipe video.Freshly-baked Cake suitable for any events.

The seven beautiful colours Violet,indigo,blue,green,yellow,orange and red. I didn’t forget the clue to remember the colours in order  VIBGYOR and it helped me to make it the correct order. It was really fun and i made this cake with aishu. As it is school holidays , try this with your kids am sure they love to help you.

How to make Eggless Rainbow cake in a Jar:

Step by step instruction for Rainbow jar cake recipe with Pictures:

Shift the plain flour and baking powder keep aside, another bowl add the milk,vinegar and vanilla extract set aside.

Rainbow cake recipe

Add butter and sugar in a mixing bowl and beat well in high speed for 5 mins or till it become creamy. Add in the flour little by little and blend well. Now add in the milk, vinegar and vanilla essence mix and bleand well Make sure the batter should have lumps.Now the rainbow cake mix is ready.

Now divide the Rainbow cake mix into 7 equal parts and add 1 drop of 7 different colours mix and transfer it into the piping bags.Now add it into the jars.

Rainbow cupcakes

fill the jar with 7 different colours fill it 3/4th of the jar and now steam it. Steam it for 15-20 mins or the insert the a toothpick in the middle of the cake it should come out clean, this is the right state to take out the jar. Once the cake is completely cool serve it.

How to make rainbow cake

You can bake this batter also. I dropped the remaining batter in a small bunt pan and bake it for 15-20 mins for about 180-degree celsius. The cake is ready to serve now.Freshly-baked Cake for any events‎.

All ingredients must be at room temperature before mixing Preheat oven to 180° c Grease jar or line 24 cupcakes liners or 8 inch cake If you are making cupcakes fill only half way,if it jar fill ¾ and same for cup cakes

  • 1 and ½ cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 110 g Unsalted Butter
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • ⅓ cup Whole Milk
  • 1 tsp vinegar

Notes
Mix the batter without lumps and then add colours.
This cake can be stored in the freezer for up to a month wrapped well in plastic wrap or the jar closed.

    This is a dish that has demanded a lot by my family, but I have still not got a hold of the recipe. I really liked the detailing of the recipe with precise quantities of ingredients used. Saving it for future reference!
