puttu kadala curry
Kadala curry recipe with step by step photos – how to make kadala curry or kadala Kari???
kadala curry or kadala Kari with puttu or appam, become my favorite breakfast, after trying out this combo at my friend’s house. My kids love both black chickpeas and white chickpeas, I would like to make both in gravies and dry versions, most of the time as sundal.
Recently, I have posted Soft Kuzha Puttu recipe without Puttu maker and now is the kadala curry recipe with step by step pics. This recipe calls for coconut and using the freshly ground spices powder. You can use the Kerala spice powder if you have otherwise simply you can follow the recipe.  I made it little dry which is suitable to have with puttu and appam, If you want to have it rice you can make it gravy also by adding coconut milk.

naadan kadala curry

Nandan Kadala Curry recipe with roasted coconut and thick gravy is too good Kerala breakfast. Puttu and Appam are going well with this but doesn’t miss to try this kari with chapati. I haven’t used the Kerala garam masala, I have used the home made garam masala. It’s up to you whatever garam masala you have, use it.

the spicy kadala curry can be served with puttu, appams, idiyappam or with steamed rice, chapatis, batura or pooris.
