This is very simple and easy recipe.I got this recipe from my mil and her version is really amazing.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup Dry Mixed Vathal
1/2 cup Thick Tamarind Extract
1/3 tsp Turmeric powder
1 tbsp Sambar Powder
1 tbsp Sesame oil

1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
A pinch Hing
1/3 tsp Urad dal
1/4 tsp Methi Seeds

Method:

Make ready the Vathal first.I used Mixed Vathals like Kathiri, sundaikai,Mangai,Manatha thakkali, etc.you can use any one kind also.

Heat the Oil and add the Mustard Seeds,Methi Seeds,Urad dal and Hing, wait till crackle. Then add the Vathal into the oil and fry them till golden brown.

Add the tamarind extract, turmeric powder, sambar powder and salt. Let the kuzhambu into thick and then transfer it into serving bowl.

Try this Vatha Kuzhambu with hot rice and sutta Applam.

Have a Nice Day!
