Mushroom butter masala or butter mushroom masala is the one which made with butter fried mushrooms and then dropped in butter masala sauce.

  • 150 g Mushroom(cleaned, diced)
  • 1-inch cinnamon stick
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 bay leaves
  • 2 medium sized tomato (grind to fine paste)
  • 2 onions (grind to fine paste)
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • ½ tsp chilli powder
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • ½ cup fresh cream
  • Salt
  1. Grind the onion and tomatoes in a mixie, keep aside.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp butter in the kadhai, add cardamom, cinnamon, bay leaves let it splutter.
  3. Now add ginger garlic paste saute for a while and then add the ground onion-tomato puree and mix well.
  4. Add the turmeric powder, chilly powder, coriander powder and salt, mix well.
  5. cook till the raw smell goes. Add the low fat cream and mix well. Finally, add the garam masala and let it cook for 5 seconds.
  6. In another pan heat 1 tbsp butter, fry the mushrooms. Initially, it started to leave the water and then it will fry. Once it fried add it with the butter masala sauce.
