Mudakathan Keerai Dosai with Step by Step Pictures and Video. Mudakathan is Balloon Vine Leaves in English. It has a lot of medicinal qualities, good for treating joint pain, Stops hair fall & promoting hair growth, Increases Fertility, Antioxidant, treats all cold and cough related problems. It is good to take Mudakathan keerai at least once in a week. Mudakathan dosa goes well with Tomato Chutney.

It is good to take Keerai every day in our diet. That too Mudakathan keerai is very good to take weekly once. If we make this keerai dosai Kids will love to have it because of the Green color. My kids call this as Green Dosai. Whenever I get a fresh batch of Mudakathan I will buy it. I bought this Keerai Online at Selvi Online Stores. It’s an Organic Store in Sharjah. They are bringing fresh keerai varieties, good quality rice, Cold pressed oil. Do check there page if you want to order.

Mudakathan Keerai Dosai with Tomato Chutney

Ingredients
  • 2 cups parboiled rice, idli arisi
  • ½ cup Urad dal, Ulundhu
  • 1 bunch Mudakathan Keerai
  • 2 green chilies
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2-inch ginger
  • 1 tsp salt
Instructions
  1. Take the Mudakathan Keerai, separate the leaves & discard the stalks, wash & clean it.
  2. Take 2 cups Parboiled rice(idli Rice), ½ cup Urad dal in a bowl. wash & rinse well.
  3. Soak for 3 to 4 hours.
  4. drain the water Add the rice in the mixie jar or grinder add a hand full of Mudakathan keerai
  5. green chilies2 inch ginger 1 tsp cumin seeds 1 tsp salt
  6. add ⅓ cup water & grind it to a smooth paste
  7. transfer the rice batter to another bowl
  8. Add the Urad dal & ⅓ cup water, grind to a smooth paste
  9. Urad dal batter ready, transfer to the same bowl
  10. Mix well using hands
  11. cover and let it ferment for 8 hours
  12. After 8 hours batter is ready to make dosai
  13. Heat the dosa Tawa, grease it & then add a ladle of batter. Spread it all over the Tawa.
  14. Drizzle some oil or ghee
  15. Once the bottom part turns golden, flip the other side and roast it
  16. Mudakathan keerai Dosa is ready to serve
Notes
Rice & dal should Soak 3 hours Completely
use the tender leaves.
If you are grinding the grinder, grind the mudakathan keerai in a mixie and then mix with the batter. because the fiber will be struck in between the stones.
ferment for 8 hours completely and then use the batter.

Mix well using hands. cover and let it ferment for 8 hours. After 8 hours batter is ready to make dosai
