Cheese Paratha Recipe with Whole Wheat Flour

Cheese Paratha Recipe, How to make Cheesy Puffy Paratha for kids. This Cheese Paratha is made with Whole Wheat Flour and the stuffing of the cheese paratha is only made for kids so just some grated cheese and some coriander added. Super soft and delicious cheese paratha recipe and very easy to make under 30 mins.  If you are making the Cheese Paratha for the kids’ lunch box in the morning, you can prepare the cheese stuffing and the chapati dough, the prior night and store it in the refrigerator. It makes your work simple in the morning. It tastes yummy with raitha and pickle.

Cheese Paratha is Akshara’s Favorite dish whenever we go restaurant she will order either cheese paratha or cheese dosa. She is very particular about the stuffing, she like plain cheese paratha. she doesn’t like onion or anything added to it. Even cheese dosa stuffing also the same 🙂  She asked me to make Cheese paratha for her lunch box I made it with lots of ghee on top so that it will not become dry even if she eats late afternoon.

Cheese Paratha stuffing variation, we can add finely chopped onion, finely chopped green chilies, finely chopped carrot & beans, finely chopped ginger, and coriander. for more rich taste we can mix a variety of cheese like orange cheddar cheese, parmesan cheese but make sure they are well grated.

Tips and Suggestion to make Perfect Cheese paratha,

Paratha is always rich than the simple Phulka, so adding ghee gives the rich and soft paratha. Even you can add ghee while making the Paratha Dough. Make the dough soft and smooth not the tight dough. If you are adding onion or any vegetable make it chopped finely and then stuff it otherwise the filling will pop out while you make paratha. dust with little wheat flour too much dusting with flour makes the paratha very hard. Always make the paratha in low to medium flame so that stuffing also cook well.

  12. remove from the stove and serve hot parathas with pickle or curd.
Notes
For Dough: Don’t pour all the water at one stretch, therefore add little by little. it should be smooth and soft dough not tight
The addition of sugar enhances the taste of the paratha and gives nice golden color. if you want you can add while making the dough. I skipped adding sugar.
Addition of oil/ghee while making the dough is optional, but it gives softness to the dough.
Always give resting time to the dough (at least 15 mins), so the paratha turns very soft.
Don’t roll the paratha too thick, as it won't get cooked inside.
Also, don’t use too much flour for dusting, otherwise, the paratha turns dry.
cheese paratha should be cooked in low to medium flame only and ensure it is cooked well inside.
2. Frying the paratha in ghee adds more flavor. However, if you are calorie conscious, regular oil can also be used
