Karupatti Kaju Katli Recipe, How to make Kaju Barfi at home. Melt in Mouth Karupatti Kaju Katli Recipe is made with Karupatti(palm Jaggery) Panai Vellam in Tamil. Karuppati(கருப்பட்டி) is a good alternative to White sugar. Diwali is around the corner, hope you all started preparations. If you are thinking about healthy Diwali Sweets, then go with this Kurupatti Kaju Katli Recipe. It’s a Fools Proof Recipe I have tried it twice and it turns very well. Perfect Karupatti Kaju Katli Recipe because the Karupatti Kaju Katli is not chewy, gluten-free, very soft and healthy too. Weight Watchers its time for you to try this because Karupatti is good for weight loss also 😉

Last month a family friend visited us from Chennai. At the airport, they picked some snacks from SKS. I have shared the post even in Prema’s Culinary Instagram Post. All are Karupatti Sweets and Snacks. That is the first time that I have tasted the Karuppati Kaju Katli. The taste was amazing and everyone at home loves it. Immediately the next day itself I tried at Home it came out perfect. Today I made Karupatti Kaju Katli again for the Blog Post, sharing here the Recipe of Karupatti Kaju Katli with step by step pictures and video.

Karupatti Kaju Katli recipe, How to make Kaju barfi in 5 easy steps,

Karupatti Kaju Katli Recipe step 1

Step: 1 Powder the cashews until its fine powder. (Do not over grind the cashews as they turn oily)

Step:2 Heat a pan over medium heat. Add water and Karupatti(palm sugar). Let it boil until karupatti is completely dissolved.

Step:3 Stain the impurities and bring back boil again. Boil the syrup till it reaches the single string consistency

Step: 4 Turn the heat to medium-low and add cashew powder and stir well. Keep stirring continuously until it forms a soft dough.  Add a tsp ghee at the final stage and switch off the stove. Wait till you are able to handle the heat. Now grease your hand with ghee and knead well for a minute. Spread a parchment paper on a working surface and roll the dough with the help of a rolling pin.

Step:5 Decorate with edible silver leaf and cut into diamond shape using a sharp knife. Kaju Katli is ready to serve. Store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup Cashew Nuts(Kaju/munthiri paruppu)
  • ¾ cup karupatti(palm sugar/panai vellam)
  • ⅓ cup Water
  • ¼ tsp cardamom powder
  • Ghee For Greasing – 1-2 Tsp
  • Silver Leaf, German Paper Or Vark For Decoration (Optional)
Instructions
