Lemon Sevai is also called Idiyappam/Sevai/Sandhagai/Shyavige and Sevai is a rice-based Vermicelli of TamilNadu, Andra, Karnataka recipe, totally it is a South Indian Famous Breakfast. Super Fast to make and easy Sevai Varieties. Lemon rice recipe is famous south Indian rice recipe just we are replacing the rice with Sevai rest all the same. How to make Rice Sevai at home

Sevai Preparation Step 1.  Soak the instant sevai just for 10 to 15 mins in hot water and then drain the water completely set aside.

Lemon Sevai Preparation:

  1. Soak the chana dal this is optional I would like to do because it tastes very good.Heat oil in a kadai and temper it with dried red chili, mustard seed, urad dal, Hing and curry leaves.Once the mustard seeds splutter.Add the peanuts, cashew and fry it.
  2. squeeze the lemon into the kadai.Now add salt and turmeric powder and mix well.
  3. Now add the Instant Sevai and mix well. Delicious Lemon Sevai is ready for Breakfast.

Lemon Sevai recipe, Lemon Sevai preparation is well-known all over south India, although there are likely to be mild variations in the way it is performed in various regions.It is ideal to pack and take along when traveling.

Ingredients
  • 200g Rice Sevai
  • 1 lemon(Medium Sized)
  • ½ tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp Urad Dal
  • 2 dried red or green chilies
  • 1 tsp Bengal gram
  • 2 tbsp peanuts
  • A generous pinch of turmeric powder
  • A generous pinch of asafoetida
  • few sprigs of curry leaves
  • 2-3 tsp of sesame oil
  • salt to taste
Instructions

Notes
You can use any Sevai, but make sure that Sevai should not be mushy or soggy.
Instead Sesame oil you can use any odorless oil.
