Masala Kadalai Recipe in Oven

Masala Kadalai Recipe or Masala Peanuts Recipe with step by step Pictures and video. Masala Kadalai Recipe with a twist, Sesame Coated Masala Peanuts Recipe made in Oven. No deep frying at the same time very crispy outside. Masala Puri Recipe, A delicious crispy snack that I have shared recently.

Masala Kadalai is nothing but the Verkadalai is soaked and then coated with Indian Spices and Besan Flour, After that, the Masala Kadalai can be deep fried in oil or it can be baked OR we can Microwave the Masala Kadalai.

There are three methods of making Masala Kadalai(masala Peanuts)

  1. Oven method that I have explained below with step by step procedures.
  2. Masala Kadalai in Microwave, This is also easy but we need to be very careful each every 1 minute we need remove it from the microwave oven and turn them. I feel this method is bit hectic.
  3.  Masala Kadalai deep frying in oil, if we are not health conscious we can make this way. Tastier also.

STEP BY STEP MASALA KADALAI RECIPE,

Masala Kadalai recipe with step by step pictures in tamil

soak the Verkadalai(raw peanuts) in water for 10-15 mins. Take a mixing bowl add the kadalai mavu(gram flour), Arisi mavu(rice flour), turmeric powder, Snauf Powder(sombuthool) and salt mix well. Add the soaked peanuts without water and then mix well with the masala. Add oil and mix well. If the masala doesn’t coat well with the peanut we can sprinkle a tbsp of water and mix again.

Spread the masala kadalai (peanuts) in the greased baking tray and spread well. Sprinkle some Sesame Seeds and mix well with the masala kadalai. Once done we can deep fry the Masala Kadalai or We can microwave it or Bake in an oven. Here I have baked in an oven for 15 mins. Once it turns golden and crispy removed it from the oven and completely cool down it.

Crispy Masala Peanuts Recipe

Crispy and crunchy masala kadalai is ready to serve. We can have it for the evening snacks with simple chai or tea.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup Verkadalai(raw peanuts)
  • 3 tbsp Besan flour(kadalai Mavu)
  • 1 tbsp Rice flour(arisi mavu)
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp snuff powder(sombu thool)
  • 2 tsp oil
  • water(optional)
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
Instructions
  1. soak the Verkadalai(raw peanuts) in water for 10-15 mins. Take a mixing bowl add the kadalai mavu(gram flour), Arisi mavu(rice flour), turmeric powder, Snauf Powder(sombuthool) and salt mix well.     You have not mentioned at what temperature the mixture should baked.
