I always love to use simple ingredients at the same time lesser ingredients that can be made quickly and effortlessly. Once you bring the ingredients it doesn’t take much time to make. I love the butterscotch ice cream,  made it a couple of times at home. After making it, I will reserve the remaining butterscotch chips to make the Butterscotch cake. but every time I will see only the empty packet in the fridge. All would love to have the chips alone without making anything out of it.

Butterscotch chips is  bit expensive in the market but it worth the price because the taste is so divine and no one says no to it if you make any dessert out of it. It is totally different from other ice creams but it has its own flavour and taste that other ice creams can’t beat it. I have used the caramel topping you can check how to make caramel sauce at home here.

I have used the Butterscotch chips to make this ice cream use can use the Butterscotch Essence also. I have used the Condensed milk but you can use the full cream milk and sugar if can’t get the condensed milk.

Butterscotch Ice Cream Recipe with butterscotch chips

Let us make Butterscotch Ice Cream, Take 2 tbsp of butter and melt it in a pan. Then add the Butterscotch Chips to the melted butter and let the butterscotch chips to melt. Stir well continuously, make sure that it should not burn at the bottom. Always do this in low-medium flame.

Butterscotch Ice Cream Recipe with condensed milk

Once the Butterscotch chips melt, add 1/2 cup  condensed milk and mix well. You can add the full cream milk and sugar instead of condensed milk but it takes almost 20 mins time to thicken the liquid. That’s why I  have used the condensed milk. If you use the full cream milk keep in medium flame and boil it till it comes thick and creamy.

Butterscotch Ice Cream Recipe with vanilla Essence

once the condensed milk and the butterscotch mixed well, add the vanilla Essence mix well. Remove it from the flame immediately once you added the vanilla essence. Let it cool down completely. Meanwhile, you make ready the Whipping Cream.

Butterscotch Ice Cream Recipe with whipping cream

Take a cup of Whipping Cream and start beating it. Beat it well till the soft peak occurs. No need to beat it to stiff beak.

Butterscotch chips

Now add the Butterscotch mix with the beaten whipping cream and blend gently.

Butterscotch Ice Cream Recipe `

Butterscotch ice creaming is ready now. Always beat the whipping cream on low speed after adding the Butterscotch mix.

Butterscotch Ice Cream Recipe in Refrigerator

Transfer the Butterscotch Ice Cream in a container and keep in Refrigerator min for 3 hrs.  once done serve it with your favourite topping.

Serving or Topping Options:

  1. Serve the Butterscotch Ice Cream topped with chopped peanuts, pistachios, walnuts.
  2. You can top with caramel sauce or any sauces of your choice.
  3. Simply you can grate the Butterscotch chips and add it on top of it. Its taste excellent while having.
