Pink Ombre Cake

Ombre cake is nothing but the cake with colours graduating from light to dark. Today I have shared here Pink Ombre cake tutorial. This ombre cake step-by-step tutorial will help the beginners and also who doesn’t know piping or cake deco help them to do cake decoration or frosting. For this decoration you no need the piping tips or bags, just a zip lock cover and a spoon is enough to make it. I made this for the mother’s day so I have chosen the colour pink for this pink ombre cake. You can choose purple ombre cake and also blue ombre cake. Happy Mother’s Day to all lovely mothers 🙂
Last year I have made chocolate ombre cake for that I have chosen the brown colour. For ombre wedding cakes, they choose a specific theme and make it accordingly. once I decided to make pink ombre cake then I have seen much pink ombre cakes on Pinterest and also watched the videos in youtube how to make an ombre cake. As i told you before i didn’t attend any special training for making cake or deco, learnt things on my own:)

Any flavour cake you can use, here is the few cake recipes from Prema’s Culinary Eggless Vanilla cake, Eggless chocolate cake, Strawberry cake.

let see how to make pink ombre cake.

You will need:
1 round cake (any flavour you like) baked and completely cooled.
Three quantities of fresh cream or butter cream
Colour (here I used rose pink Wilton colour)
Plate or cake stand to present your cake on.

  • Make fresh cream or buttercream in various shades and place it into zip lock bags.
  • Here I have used one 20cm (7.87 inches) round cake. You can arrange 2 or 3 round cakes layered and make the frosting.

How to make the petal effect on ombre cake:

I then pressed down slightly on the dot (near the edge) and dragged the spatula outwards, wiping off the spatula after each smeared dot . Next, I added 3 more dots on the ends of the previous smeared dots and again pressed down slightly on the dot (near the edge) and dragged the spatula outwards, wiping off the spatula after each smeared dot.

Pink ombre cake tutorialContinue to do this until you have completely decorated your cake. End the design with 3 big round dots to look like buttons. On top also follow the same technique and complete the cake.The petal effect technique is easy to achieve. I hope this helps.

Ingredients

  1. Keep 3 big round dots with a Wilton tip 12. Then press down slightly on the dot (near the edge) and dragged the spatula outwards, wiping off the spatula after each smeared dot .
  2. Next, add 3 more dots on the ends of the previous smeared dots and again pressed down slightly on the dot (near the edge) and dragged the spatula outwards, wiping off the spatula after each smeared dot.
  3. Continue to do this until you have completely decorated your cake. End the design with 4 big round dots to look like buttons.
  4. On top also follow the same technique and complete the cake.
