Almond Cake

January 11, 2011 by Premalatha Aravindhan 51 Comments

Even though Am not a vegetarian, but am happy to learn egg less cakes…Seriously, egg less cake is not as fragrant as the normal ‘egged’ cake. Perhaps, it is my personal preference to taste the egg in cake (winking smile).. However, as an egg less cake, this recipe is definitely a delicious and healthy one!
Even my girl and her classmates(she shared it with her classmates in snacks time) loved it! She told me that her classmates rated this bake 100% delicious.

Ingredients:

170 gm Plain Flour
1 tsp Baking Powder
1and1/2 tsp Soda bi carb
240 gm Butter
150 gm Sugar
100 gm Ground Almond
100 gm Almond Flakes

Method:

Measure the Plain flour, baking powder, soda bi carb, ground almonds.Fold in and mix Evenly.

Beat the butter and sugar till light and fluffy.

Add folded mixture into the butter and beat well till blended

Pour into the pan and sprinkle almond flakes on top

Bake at 180 degree c for 25 minutes.

Check with a fork, whether it’s done or not.If not bake it for another 5-10 minutes.

Almond Cake it ready to Serve now!

Happy Baking!
