Kadhai Paneer

September 16, 2010 by Premalatha Aravindhan 46 Comments

Kadhai Paneer:

Ingredients:

250g paneer,diced into small cubes
1 medium sized green bell pepper, cut into medium sized pieces
1/2 cup tomato puree
few chopped methi leaves/ kasthuri methi
1/2 tsp chilly powder
1 tsp coriander
2 tbsp oil
1 green chilly
1 tsp ginger garlic paste/crushed ginger and garlic
1/2 tsp turmeric
1 tsp salt

Method:

Heat oil in a kadhai, add the diced paneer and shallow fry it and drain the oil and take it out.
In the same oil,fry the chopped green bell pepper and take it out from the oil and keep aside.
Add the tomato puree in the kadhai and also add the ginger garlic paste/crushed ginger garlic, coriander powder, chilly powder, green chilly, salt  and turmeric powder.cook them well, until the raw smell goes.
Add the paneer and bell pepper, mix it well with the gravy. If you want more gravy you can add water.
Here i prepared the dry kadhai Paneer. Finally add the kasthuri methi saute for few min’s and then transfer the kadai paneer into serving bowl.Serve it with Roti/Rice.

    Dear Prema
Very well presented, this traditional recipe with your little variation. Actually , I like the dish made with fried paneer or BBQ-ed, could not develop taste for raw paneer used in sabji.
    Will try soon.
Likeed the collage of photos..very nice.
    Have a nice weekend.
