Raw Banana(Vazhaikai) Podimas Recipe

Raw Banana(Vazhaikai) Podimas Recipe:

Ingredients:

2 raw Banana(Vazhaikaai)
1 green chilli
1 sprig curry leaves
2 tsp grated Cocunut
2 tbsp oil
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp urdhal
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 chopped onion

Method:

Cut the raw banana into two.Put it in water and cook it for few mins.When one side of raw banana turns black color, turn it to other side.Remove the raw banana from flame and allow it to cool.Peel the skin of the cooked raw banana and grate it.Heat the oil in the pan, add mustard seeds wait until it begins to sputter add urdhal and fry till it becomes golden brown color.Add the grated raw banana along with other ingredients and mix it well and fry it .Once it fried well,sprinkle the grated coconut and take it out from the flame.Garnish it with coriander seeds and serve it with any curry.

    Podimas is my favou..as my hubby doesn’t like it I’m not preparing it at all..but for last few weeks I’ve been coming across various version of podimas and really very much tempted to make it..thanks for the podimas recipe and this look really yummy..

    Looks so delicious..
    podimas is one of our favorite recipe.we got introduced the dish by one of our tamil friend..nowadays its common in our menu..
    i add lemon juice also.
