Bittergroud curry | பாவக்காய் குழம்பு

                        After long back i am writing  my blog.Because of chinese new year,enjoyed the holidays with my husband and  kid.He never let me to cook in holidays.We went to lot of restaurants and tried all kinds of foods….I want to prepare something healthy ,so i tried this curry.I am having lot of Chinese friends , i went to their houses and had lot of sweets…Its right time to prepare this curry….

Ingredients:

Gingelly  Oil 4 tsp
Small onions 10
Garlic  3-4
Tomatoes 2 chopped
Tamarind juice(thick) 1 cup
Bitter Groud 100g cup into round shape
Turmeric 1/4 tsp
Chilli powder 1 tsp
Coriander powder 2 tsp
Jaggery a small piece (optional).
Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
Fenugreek seeds 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves 1 sprig

Method of Preparation:

Heat the oil in a kadai and add Mustard seeds and fenugreek seeds once it pops out add Garlic,small onion ,curry leaves and tomatoes.slowly one by one.
Fry the bitter groud along with it in the oil.
While frying itself ,nice floavour will come.That is the right time to add the tamarind juice and add chilli powder and coriander powder and let it cook for 5 min.
If u dont have diabetic problem and all ,then u can add a small jaggery into it ,taste really taste good.
Wait for sometime,Once  the curry become thick it is ready to serve.
Its really goes well with hot rice and Appalam.Try it..
